The moon never changes shape. Our view of it does.

Talks and lessons

Made by Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) from one request, using our deck recipes.

This is the agent’s deck as it came out: 14 slides, unedited. The company and numbers are fictional; the request was written the way people send them, with the notes pasted in.

I need a fun, friendly slide deck for my 8th grade science class on why the moon has phases. 25-minute lesson.

What to cover:
- The moon goes around Earth about every 29.5 days.
- The sun always lights half of the moon. What changes is how much of that lit half we can see from Earth.
- The order: new moon, waxing crescent, first quarter, waxing gibbous, full moon, waning gibbous, third quarter, waning crescent.
- A common wrong idea: that phases are Earth's shadow on the moon. That's a lunar eclipse, which only happens sometimes, at a full moon.
- Activity: in a dark room, one student holds a ball at arm's length and turns slowly in a circle while a lamp plays the sun.

In our blind test, the reviewer would send this deck as it is and flagged nothing. Guide to lesson slides.
